Mays El Reem
A popular late night entertainment venue, Mays Al Reem's cavernous interior is reminiscent of a faded Ottoman palace, replete with gurgling stone waterfall and large softly-cushioned alcoves. The restaurant only comes alive after 23:oo when the band and belly dancer appear, so early diners munch in silence and solitude. You could take comfort in the extensive menu, except that most dishes are fairly ordinary. Coupled with indifferent service, this place does not inspire a repeat visit - except maybe to experience the festive shisha filled party atmosphere later on.
