Planet Hollywood
Planet Hollywood is the archetypal American experience and a haven for movie hounds. The walls are covered in film memorabilia, your meal is soundtracked by theme music and accompanied by video clips. Big burgers and giant desserts are definite `Oscar nominees', but stray from the basics and you're in `straight to video' territory. Some dishes suffer from a lack of culinary care and have a synthetic, pre-packaged feel. A great novelty venue that's cool for kids, not connoisseurs.
